Hello,

So, it's almost midnight here on the east coast, and I'm in the mood to listen to some of the somber Springsteen songs. I love the how beautiful the imagery is in this version. "Once again we stood on the wedding steps of victory hall...But as I leaned into touch her pretty lips...I felt it all slip away through my fingertips." So, I prefer this version, and this begs two questions for everyone: Why did he eliminate this verse in the version that made it on The River? And, why do you think he changed the instrumentation?
